Kate Hartnick Elliott has over twenty years of experience helping to build and operate sustainable marketing, media and nonprofit organizations. Elliott began her career in the pre-internet era of media marketing, working in progressively responsible roles at Doubleday & Co., Facts On File, The New York Times Magazine Group, and the New York Daily News.
She entered the digital arena as the first Director of Corporate Sales at internet research firm Jupiter Communications in 1996, subsequently becoming Vice President of Advertising Sales and Business Development at award-winning online cultural magazine FEED and then Vice President of the Strategic Planning Group at New York interactive agency i-traffic.
A well-known marketing expert, Elliott has spoken on the topic at Columbia Business School, the Columbus-Amsterdam Business Improvement District, The New School, the Support Center for Nonprofit Management, United Jewish Communities/The Federations of North America, and Vanderbilt University's Owen School of Management.
Elliott is Co-Chair of the Columbia Business School Alumni Club of New York Media and Entertainment Committee, a member of the Executive Committee of the New York Hall of Science Council and a member of the School Leadership Team at Manhattan's PS 9. She was previously a member of the Board of both New York Women in Communications (NYWICI) and the NYWICI Foundation, Editor-in-Chief of NYWICI's Matrix Times.
Elliott received her BA in English and Psychology, Magna Cum Laude, from Amherst College and her MBA in Marketing and Management of Organizations from Columbia Business School.
